Hey folks!

This week we'll be talking with Christine Carr about her installation "The Gas Station Chronicles" and generally mixing it up over whichever topics, interests or projects strike our collective fancy! I think Christine's piece is an amazing starting point for conversations directed at process, experientiality, environment, environmentalism, and so much more! This will be a fun conversation with great folks.

We hope to see you there!

Flux event-scores, Volunteers Needed!

Hey Labyrinth folks,

Keith Buccholz is cooking up a barrage of short, simple, fun event scores to be performed as part of Saturday the 5th's Flux-Mazz event at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Blue ridge between 3:30pm to 7:30pm. These performances will interlace between the performances of visiting poets from around the country.

We needs 8-10 volunteers to help perform these scores. The only requirements is a black hat (of any kind). No history performing event scores is necessary! Let me know if your interested and I'll compile a list of performers, we'll meet at the Church at 3:15ish before the Flux-Mazz and Keith and I will help with instructions.

After putting out a call for "performance scores for a church" Keith has received scores from Ken Friedman, Reed Altemus, Alan Revich, Picasso Gaglione, Hannah Higgins, Alison Knowles and more! I can not stress how awesome, generous, and encouraging this outpouring of support from Fluxus veterans is for the Roanoke fringe community.

For those of you not familiar with event scores they are fun, simple, short performance gestures that express an interest in humor, experience, play, indeterminacy, fun, sound... and that's just skimming the surface!

Here is a good example of Keith Buccholz and others (including Picasso Gaglione, Alison Knowles, Mark Block, and Reed Altemus) performing a piece by Fluxus founder George Maciunas - Piece for Lips and Tongue Here also is a description of the event score concept from Alison Knowles with some great examples - Event Scores

Please let me know if you're interested and feel free to forward this to friends in the community who you think might want to flux it up with us!

Looking good!

Things are moving along!

I'll be at the space today from 6ish to 9ish. If your there and no one answers the door try my phone.

Warren
